Yesterday I witnessed a woman driving very erratically, leaving her lane, with inconsistent following distances, and oblivious to traffic and surroundings. I finally pulled along side her. She had an iPad propped up BEHIND her steering wheel, blocking all the gauges. She was then reaching her right hand through her steering wheel to operate the touch screen, kind of how you would reach through to press the old hazard buttons or the tripometer button. I couldn't see if she was playing candy crush or emailing or what, as if it matters. (Pic sort of related)

I once had my arm through my wheel hitting the trip reset after filling the car, and turned out of the parking lot, trapping my hand in my steering wheel. My brain could not figure out what dumb thing I had done. I hope something similar would happen to her.

Haha...I think nearly everyone has done that. I certainly have, and I've been in cars a number of times when other people did it. It's funny how processing 'remove arm from wheel' just doesn't happen when you'd assume it'd be automatic.

We split off different directions on the on ramp, heading E and W on the interstate.
And yes, she got on the interstate like that.

I saw a guy watching a movie on his phone one time, the next day I saw a woman doing the same thing. That kind of shit makes me angry. Makes me want to just stand on the sidewalk and knock on people's windows and tell them to put the damn phone down. There have to be tons of people doing it if I see two in two days.

I saw a guy once driving with his right hand, with a paperback book open in his left hand, resting his elbow on the door's armrest. He was trying to keep the book kind of low, but I was walking on the sidewalk, and I could see him reading plain as day.
So in the interest of trying to remain inconspicuous, he was taking his gaze even further off the road by keeping the book low.
